We are nearing to the 2022 FIFA Football World Cup live event starting from 20th November 2022. The tournament was concluded in Qatar with most teams having played their last matches. Who is most likely to win the trophy?
Here are the list of top seven teams to win World Cup 2022 below.
1) Brazil
Brazil has not lost to Argentina in three years. The forward line of Neymar and Richarlison, Vinicius Jr, and Raphinha is so potent that Gabriel Jesus was not included in the recent friendly victories over Ghana and Tunisia. A single defeat in 29 is a remarkable record. The only question is that they have not played a European team since their loss to Belgium at the last World Cup.
2) Argentina
Argentina’s situation has been cleared by the retirement of most of its outstanding forwarders. Although Scaloni’s team may not be as flashy as the most recent, this Argentina side is harmonious and cohesive and gets the best from Lionel Messi. They are 35-0 unbeaten, beat Italy at the Copa Finalissima June. Estonia is the only European country they have faced since October 2019.
3) Spain
Luis Enrique announced his final pre-World Cup team in a video in which he was cycling to pay tribute to the Vuelta a Espana. However, the result of La Roja’s first defeat at home in nearly four years against Switzerland did not have the positive impact he hoped for. However, despite Spain’s manager stating that Portugal has a better chance in Qatar, it was Enrique’s team who won the Nations League group title after Alvaro Morata in Braga. EA
4) Netherlands
This could be Louis van Gaal’s grand finale. Although none of the goalkeeping options are inspiring confidence, the 71-year old coach has turned around a qualification campaign that had started badly and put together a balanced team playing lively football. Although they may be a little too dependent on Memphis Depay’s goals, there is an overall sense of purpose and organization in this squad that reminds us of 2014.
5) Germany
Germany has the potential to win Qatar, but must also address their flaws like many of its traditional rivals. They were exposed in Leipzig by a superbly executed win. This was Hansi Flick’s first defeat as manager. The way they collapsed in a 15-minute frenzy will cause concern. They are still lacking killer instinct, but they play in Flick’s style.
6) Denmark
Denmark was not frightened by the narrow loss in Croatia last week. They defeated France three days later with an impressive performance, and are now playing at the same tempo that won them so many fans at Euro 2020. Christian Eriksen is back in great form. He scored a spectacular goal in Zagreb, and then outclassed his French counterparts. It seems possible to challenge for honours.
7) France
France is the nation with the most talent. However, none of the other favorites has as many players involved in off-field distractions and real ill-feeling among the families of certain players. Didier Deschamps, a provocative coach who favors attritional football and rarely gets the best from his team, makes it possible for implosion.
